Due to the increasing crime rate and terrorist threats around the world, the importance of security is an issue that one should not ignore. In many ways, a properly trained personal protection dog with sound genetic dispositions is much more practical and economical than costly alarm systems, firearms, and body guards.

What is a personal protection dog?

A personal protection dog is a dog specially selected and trained to defend his master, whose family and properties. To be able to perform such tasks, a personal protection dog should possess a solid, courageous character and a vigorous temperament, combined with a strong, agile physical structure. He must be able to function under extreme pressures such as going through obstacles to attack, stopping multiple aggressive intruders, searching in difficult environments, and capturing resisting suspects. At the same time, he must be capable of maintaining a clear head to obey the handler's command efficiently and precisely. The most common breeds of personal protection dogs are Belgian Malinois, German Shepherd, and Rottweiler. A well-trained dog with the proper genetic working qualities can begin his personal protection service as early as 1 year old.

We only select and work with dogs that are from the most successful and proven working bloodlines. All of our protection dogs are either bred by our kennel or selected from puppyhood from the top working dog breeders in Europe. We have carefully structured our personal protection dog programs into 3 levels tailored to your lifestyle:

There are countless dog dealers around the world selling dogs that are trained only in their own standards, and never been examined by any internationally recognized working dog programs. Because of the lack of standardization, recognition, and regulation, these dog dealers can pretty much say whatever they want about their dogs. Therefore, to ensure the working ability of the personal protection dog you are purchasing from us, all of our Level 3 - Royal Shield Protection Dogs must successfully complete the Mondio Ring 1 title before going to our clients. Mondio Ring is an internationally recognised protection dogsport under the regulation of Fédération Cynologique Internationale (FCI). The demanding training criteria in Mondio Ring enables our dogs to develop a strong foundation for their personal protection tasks. Training Curriculum in Details

Exposure to a Wide Range of People, Animals, & Environments (Available in Level 1, 2, & 3)
To be a competent personal protection dog, your animal must be confident with people and stable in all day-to-day environments and situations. Our personal protection dogs have been extensively socialized with different people, animals, and various environments on a daily basis from puppyhood, so they can protect you anywhere you go.

Development of Working Drives (Available in Level 1, 2, & 3)
Besides selecting only the genetically strongest puppies to be your personal protection dog, we also concentrate on the upbringing and training for our puppies in order to bring out the best of their abilities. All the instinctive drives that possess working value are stimulated on the correct amount from an early age to ensure optimum development.

House Training (Available in Level 1, 2, & 3)
We understand that it is possible you might prefer to have your protection dog living inside your house so he can stay closed to you and your family. All our dogs are toilet trained from puppyhood so there is no muss and no fuss when you have your protector in your home.

Basic Obedience (Available in Level 1, 2, & 3)
Your personal protection dog has been trained to Come (Off-Lead), Heel (On-Lead), Sit-Stay up to 3min (Off-Lead), and Down-Stay up to 5min (Off-Lead) on verbal commands and hand signals. Having a solid foundation in obedience enables you to manage your dog without any effort.

Advanced Obedience Off-Lead (Available in Level 2 & 3 Only)
Besides being able to carry out the requirement in Basic Obedience, your dog can also Heel (Off-Lead) Retrieve (Off-Lead), Jump Over a 1m Hurdle (Off Lead), and Climb Over a 1.8m A-Frame (Off Lead). Retrieving is a nice way of exercise your working dog. The Jumping training makes your dog more agile and coordinated, which are essential qualities for protecting you and your family.

Elite Off-Lead Control (Available in Level 3 Only)
Your personal protection dog has been trained to Stay on an Appointed Area for Up to 9 Hours (Off-Lead), Send Forward (Off-Lead), Jump Over a 3m Long Jump (Off-Lead), Walking on a 1.8m Elevated Catwalk (Off-Lead), and Going Through Tunnels (Off-Lead), on top of the things he can do in Advanced Obedience Off-Lead. Being able to calmly stay on an appointed area for a long period means you can now command your protection dog to stay in front of your bedroom door over night, giving you extra peace of mind. The training in agility enables your dog to negotiate obstacles with more confidence, and move faster and more directly to the aggressor.

Basic Food Refusal (Available in Level 2 & 3 Only)
Your dog has been trained to ignore food offered by other people while he is under your commands. This prevents your personal protection dog getting distracted by food when he has to obey you.

Advanced Food Refusal (Available in Level 3 Only)
Your protection dog has been trained to only accept food from his family members and from his food bowl. He has been trained not to eat any food from the street and on the ground in his own courtyard. This prevents poisoning of your protection dog from eating food off the street and by people throwing poisonous food into your garden.

Full Bitesuit Training (Available in Level 1, 2, & 3)
In real life, a person will not present his arm for a dog to bite. Most likely he will try to avoid getting bitten by dodging, blocking, or striking the dog with an object. You protection dog has been trained to bite any part of an intruder's body including shins, calves, thighs, hamstrings, lower arms, biceps, triceps, abdomen, chest, and back. Being familiar with biting any part of the aggressor's body prevents the disadvantage of a "Sleeve Dog" which is trained to bite only the arm. Additionally, he has been trained to go through barriers and obstacles to attack the intruder. This makes it even more difficult for the bad guy trying to stop your dog.

Alert, Attack, & Release On-Lead (Available in Level 1, 2, & 3)
Thugs and robbers often wait for their victims on street corners. Your personal protection dog has been trained to bark at any aggressor automatically during a walk, and bark at any passive person on your command. If the aggressor doesn't stop at your dog's alert and continues to come forward within the range of your leash, your dog has been trained to automatically bite any available body part of the aggressor, and only to release the bite on your command and keep the aggressor at bay by barking.

Alert, Attack, & Release Off-Lead (Available in Level 2 & 3 Only)
Your protection dog has been trained to keep a passive intruder at bay by Hold & Bark on command. He has also been trained to pursue and attack a moving or passive intruder up to 100m from you, and only to release the bite on your command and keep the aggressor at bay by Hold & Bark.

Guarding of a Venue (Available in Level 1, 2, & 3)
Your personal protection dog has been trained to stay alert and guard his territory. If any stranger tries to climb over your fence or break into your property and doesn't stop while your dog is barking at him, your personal protection dog has been trained to stop the intruder by direct biting.

Crowd Control on Multiple Intruders On-Lead (Available in Level 3 Only)
Your personal protection dog has been trained to bark at multiple aggressors automatically and on your command. If the aggressors don't stop at your dog's alert and continues to come forward into the range of your leash, your dog has been trained to bite the closest one, and only to release the bite on your command and keep the other aggressors at bay by barking and ready to bite again if necessary.

Biting without Visible Protective Gear (Available in Level 1, 2, & 3)
Your personal protection dog has been trained to bite someone without any visible protective costume on command. This training prevents equipment orientated dogs that don't bite in real situations.

Automatic Defence of Handler (Available in Level 3 Only)
If someone attacks you, Your dog has been trained to bite the attacker automatically. This training enables your protection dog to counter an aggressor in case of you being strangled or unable to give a verbal command. This can make a difference between life and death.

Guarding of Object & Vehicle (Available in Level 3 Only)
Your personal protection dog has been trained to stay on a given object by the handler and prevent someone from stealing it. If a stranger comes too closed to the object, your dog has been trained to stop him by biting and then return to the object again.

Area Search (Available in Level 2 & 3 Only)
Your personal protection dog has been trained to search for a possible intruder and indicate his presence by barking. If the intruder moves, your dog has been trained to bite him automatically.

Call Back during Biting (Available in Level 2 & 3 Only)
Your personal protection dog has been trained to return immediately to you on command when he is biting. This gives you a safer distance from the intruder while keeping your dog closed to you.

Muzzled Attack (Available in Level 3 Only)
Your protection dog has been trained to slam into the intruder using his head and body while wearing a muzzle. This is a very useful tactic when you want to stop an aggressor without biting.

Mondio Ring (Available in Level 3 Only)

Mondio Ring is an internationally recognized protection dogsport developed in 1987 by representatives from several countries in Europe and North America. By combining merits from Belgian Ring Sport, French Ring Sport, Dutch KNPV, and German Schutzhund, Mondio Ring is a hybrid sport designed to demonstrate the working ability, versatility, and training quality for the participating dogs. The program is composed of three disciplines which include Obedience, Jumping, and Bitework. The order and the implementation of the exercises in each discipline can vary in every trial according the decision of the judge, given that the settings comply the regulations of the program. The decoy in the protection phase of Mondio Ring wears a full bitesuit and the dog is allowed to bite anywhere protected by the suit. Instead of being obliged to present an obvious area for the dog to bite, the decoy has the freedom to use barriers or accessories to distract the dog during the entry. If the dog loses his bite, the decoy is allowed to esquive (evade the attack of) the dog. Making the protection phase more similar to situations on the street.
